What age do you start potty training your kids?

Rebecca asked:

My twin daughters just turned 16 months last week. With my other children, we started potty training around 18-19 months..
When did you start potty training your children?

My experience is too start potty training when they start showing an interest and can express to you that they need to go. My twins were about 2 1/2 before they mastered the skill. My daughter was 3 before she was even willing to discuss the matter and I have a 3 1/2 year old that thinks its a game. I say try it, but don’t push the matter otherwise in a couple of years you will have two 3 1/2 year olds fighting you. Good luck!!
